“Fragments”
By Amanda Wilbur
Fragmented Ideas
Floating in disconnect
A thought tries
To form
Must keep working
Thinking
Through the pounding
The clouding
A shrouded bit of dust
The wisp of a thought
Winds through the mist
To find light
It floats upwards
a moth to a flame
Lightly blinking
A beacon
I reach out
graze the idea
Dissipate the fog
need something concrete
My fingers find
the glowing ball!
I hold it for a moment
Having found my resolve, my wits about me.
I try to keep hold
Yet in a puff
Fragmen
ted
Again
